1 x 400g can of Princes Hot Dogs in brine
6 large brown onions, thinly sliced into half moons
1 large baguette
Sauce and mustard
1. Fry the onions in a little oil in a large frying pan on low heat for about 20 minutes or until they become coloured a pale gold and are completely soft. Remove from the heat and set aside.
2. Empty can contents into a pan and bring to the boil for 4-5 minutes.
3. Cut the baguette into lengths that fit the hot dogs and slice each one down the middle. Spread with butter and place the warm onions into the bread. Top with the hot dogs and your favourite condiments and sauces. (For a special treat why not add grated cheese and melt under the grill until gold and bubbling).
