If you're looking to add some fluoro shades to your home, look no further than these tips!
1. Begin with a neutral backdrop. If you’re a neon novice and aren’t used to using such vivid colours in your home, then it’s best to start off with a neutral backdrop for the neons to sing. If you’re thinking of jazzing up a living space, keep the furniture monochrome or a light wood and pack a punch with a bold print wallpaper.
2. Incorporate colour through artwork to brighten up dull walls. If you’re not brave enough to hang neon wallpaper then artwork and prints are always a good idea. Check out House of Neon, Etsy and Desenio to find pieces that you love.
3. Branch out into standout pieces of furniture. We recommend starting with an armchair or a sideboard. If you can’t find affordable items that satisfy your neon cravings, upcycle with paint or wallpaper.
4. Choose prints and patterns that you love so you won’t get bored. Neon is definitely not for the faint-hearted so make sure any art and homeware pieces that you invest in are items that you won’t tire of very quickly.
