When you're thinking of buying a home, what would be the thing that puts you off?
A study, carried out by Good Move, has investigated just this, and has some interesting responses...
The most off putting element for people proved to be noisy neighbours - 85 per cent said this would ensure they didn’t buy a house.
With our gardens proving to be an extension of our home during the summer months, 73 per cent said they would be put off by the thought of having to share their outdoor space with their neighbour - after all, who wants to argue over who gets the prime sunny spot?
In a predictable turn of events, signs of damp (75 per cent) and cracks (73 per cent) were other factors that ensured Brits would not be buying the property in question, while the prospect of no parking would be an issue for 69 per cent.
The top 10 things buyers would be put off by are:

6. Front Door opening onto a main road (70%)
7. No parking (69%)

More than 40 per cent of Brits would not be deterred by the fact a murder had previously taken place onsite - however, in return, they would want to have the price reduced by nearly a third (32 per cent) of its price.
As well as this, paranormal activity wouldn't dissuade some of us - however, they would expect a 30 per cent discount in the process.
The 5 elements that Brits would expect a discount for are:
1. Existing tenants (34 per cent)
2. Murder (32 per cent)
3. Paranormal activity (30 per cent)
4. Pets left behind in the property (26 per cent)
5. Being next door to a cemetery (25 per cent)
Ross Counsell, director at Good Move, said: "Although everyone has a different idea of the perfect home, it’s clear from our survey that certain things will put off most people."
