Clear ideas, a background in architecture and clever planning has allowed Lucy Frost to create the perfect family dream home
A bit about me
I’m Lucy Frost, I live with my husband Rob, and our two-year-old son. I’m head of graphic design at a local secondary school.
Where I live
Our home is a three-bedroom terraced house in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. We moved here in 2013.
What I wanted to change
Lots of things! The house needed a refresh throughout. The kitchen was tiny and our main plan was to extend the back of the house to create an open-plan space.
How I made it my own
I’ve used a mix of my favourite Scandi design with an industrial feel and a fairly muted palette, with the odd bold feature wall.
My favourite part
Our new kitchen-diner. It’s such a sociable space, which we spend a lot of time in.
