If you've never tried upcycling before it can seem daunting to know where to start - however try following these tips and you'll be doing it like a pro
1. Try some DIY hacks when you're upcycling furniture. You can pick up some great charity shop bits on eBay or in charity shops and these can then be transformed on the cheap with some new paint and hardware.
2. Preparation is the key to upcycling. Plan ahead to ensure you have the tools needed to do the job from start to finish. Give all of the furniture a wipe down before starting, and always factor in time to make any corrections to your project. Crucially, don't rush!
3. Rose gold spray paint is a dream for giving the Midas touch to things like table legs and picture frames. Just make sure you remember to work in an open space when spray painting, so you don't breathe in the fumes.
4. Spend a few extra pennies on good-quality paintbrushes - cheap ones tend to leave bristles and don't provide great coverage. A lot of paint brands now have their own brushes, which work wonderfully with paint products.
