If you're thinking of buying a new-build, make sure you keep these four tips in mind
As soon as you can, make an appointment to view a show home on a new development. Make sure you take the chance to discuss the various plots in detail too. It helps to know what you want from your home - for instance, an end of terrace plot to gain a garden.
If your property is one of the first to be finished, make sure you find out about the levels of disruption if you move in while the building work is still taking place on site.
Having a say in the fixtures and fittings can be a huge bonus so you can have your own bespoke design. However, get ready to use your imagination if your home hasn't been built yet.
New-builds will normally sacrifice the essential storage areas for an extra bedroom or bathroom, so if there's ever the option, discuss your individual needs with the architect before it's too late.
