How to make your own Christmas table centrepiece

You've placed the presents under the tree, the turkey is brining, and you've left a carrot out for Rudolph – now it's time to get ahead!

If you do one thing to save time on the big day – lay your Christmas table on Christmas Eve, so it's all ready for when your guests arrive. No more rushing to find the right cutlery while you boil sprouts, this way you have all the plates and knives you need, and all that's left to do is serve up your delicious food!

But if you're going to make your Christmas table truly spectacular, you're going to need a plan. From choosing the right chargers and glasses, to the tablecloth and napkins, it all adds up to form one beautiful Christmas tablescape. Centrepieces, especially, are a great way to add drama to a dining table scheme.

From tall elegant floral displays to short foliage runners, centrepieces are a must-have table accessory. And what could be better than making your own display?

DIY Christmas Centrepiece


You will need:

PSR 18 LI-2 Ergonomic
PKP 3,6 LI
A long log
Two candles
Candle cups
Small containers e.g. test tubes
Christmas decorations including baubles
Floristry wire
A selection of greenery to decorate e.g. spruce, ivy, eucalyptus
A selection of flowers that are different sizes e.g. roses, hypericum, hellebore, waxflower, brunia
