Never one to play it safe, Angie Talbot injected her home with colour, texture and a big burst of personality to create her dream scheme

A bit about me

I’m Angie Talbot and I live with my husband Tony, son Harry, aged 10, and daughter Lulu, seven, plus our two spaniels, Charlie and George.

Where I live

My home is an extended four-bed 1940s detached bungalow with a loft conversion in Leeds.

What I wanted to change

The house was like a showhome when we bought it. We wanted to add personality and warmth, and remove all the magnolia walls!

How I made it my own

We added accessories in a mix of Mid-Century, eclectic and industrial styles and covered the kitchen island with reclaimed scaffolding boards.

My favourite part

I love the hallway with our mannequin lamp and also the living room with its wall of electric guitars.
