Six ways to get a vintage-style bathroom

Posted 8th Jun 2017

If you would like a vintage-style look in your bathroom, these six tips will be useful - for instance, something as simple as a quirky sign and vintage-style toiletries can make a big difference

1. If you have nothing in place, you should start with checkerboard or patterned ceramic floor tiles. By teaming these up with classic white metro wall tiles, you'll have a timeless and fail safe combination.

2. Another good style to consider is painted wood panelling to half height. Then, use a Victorian-style botanic wallpaper above.

3. Vintage fairs are your friend! You can scour them for quirky signs, magazines and artwork that will only improve the vibes of your room.

4. Don't forget to add those crucial finishing touches which can make all the difference. For instance, what about a period style column radiator? Something like this can make a big difference.

5 A free-standing claw foot bath can be a great choice and will definitely add some wow-factor to proceedings. Alternatively, you could always get creative by mounting a basin on a vintage dresser.

6 Another option will be to upcycle a second-hand display cabinet. Fill this with vintage-style toiletries and there you go.
