'My homely rented cottage reflects my style'

When Hayley Stewart first saw this place on Rightmove, she suspected it’d feel too secluded, but she couldn’t have been more wrong...

A bit about me

I’m Hayley Stewart and I live with my husband, Jordan, our sons; four-year-old Rex and three-year-old Mack, and Arthur, our French Bulldog.

Where I live

My home is an extended three-bed cottage from the 1930s in a small village called St Mary Bourne, in Hampshire. We’ve been renting it for just over three years.

What I wanted to change

Sadly we aren’t able to alter the kitchen and bathroom, which would’ve been top of my list, but I was also eager to get rid of the magnolia paint.

How I made it my own

I love vintage items and upcycling so by mixing that with current trends, it helps keep the rooms unique.

My favourite part

The dining room. I had doubts at first, but I think it’s beautiful!

If you would like to find out more about what Hayley did to her cottage, you can purchase our May issue as a digital download for only £0.99 here.
