Upcycled nesting trays

Upcycled nesting trays

Posted 16th Jan 2017

These wipe clean nesting trays are just the thing for carrying little treats and drinks and they are easy to make too

What you will need

Wooden nesting trays
Deco Art Americana Decor Chalky finish paint, two shades of purple
Decorative paper
PVA glue
Sticky back plastic

Directions

1. Paint a set of nesting trays with chalk paint. We used Deco Art Americana Decor Chalky Finish paint in two shades of purple.

2. Measure the inside of the trays and cut decorative paper to size (I used my laurel leaf and autumn leaves design paper). Cover the paper with sticky back plastic first to make it wipe clean.

3. Brush PVA glue on the bottom of the tray, and place the patterned paper in position.

4. All done! You can use these upcycled trays for all sorts of things and they won’t be damaged by ring marks or spillages.
