Floral cushions: the buyers guide!

Floral cushions - not only a great chance to embrace your female side but also to add some floral style to your home. Unsure about how to go about adding it to your rooms? We've got the tips to ensure you get the style spot on.

1 Fill with what

What filling are you after? Do you prefer a softer and bouncier feel? If so you'd be best suited to a foam and fibre-filled cushions. However if you'd rather go for a longer-lasting but more expensive alternative, consider opting for a down or feather option. It's worth remembering they'll need plumping on a daily basis though, to help them keep their shape.

2 How washable are they?

Consider the care they will need. Can you wash them? Or even better, do they come with a removable cover?

3 Don't limit yourselves

Why not go for a cushion which is part of a collection? This way, you can add curtains or bedding at a later date, if you so desire.

4 Consider two for the price of one?

Have you set your sights on a more expensive cushion which has a design on the front and back? Then why not also buy some cheap, plain fabric, unpick the stitching, and then create two cushons for the price of one!
