Merging a bathroom and separate toilet has allowed Natalie Stringfellow to create a light and spacious new look
A bit about me
Hi, I’m Natalie Stringfellow, a cake maker. I live with my husband, Liam, an engineer and our two daughters, in The Wirral.
My problem bathroom
It was a long, narrow room with a bland grey suite, a shower over the bath, just one window and a separate toilet next door. The layout didn’t do it any justice and it wasn’t suitable for a young family.
How I made it work
We knocked together the narrow bathroom and separate toilet to create a more family friendly space. To save money, Liam fitted the bathroom and radiator himself after the plumber had installed the new pipework. He didn’t want to risk tackling the tiling or flooring though, as he’s a perfectionist but knows his limits.
My favourite part
Green is my favourite colour so I love the gorgeous wall tiles. They were a must-have. We waited nearly three months for them to arrive as they were shipped in from Europe, but they were worth waiting for!
