Chloe and Paul Medway have turned their first home into a work of art with lots of budget buys, upcycling and homemade projects

A bit about me

I’m Chloe Medway, a stay at home mum and part-time weaver. I live with my husband Paul, our son Conrad and lovely cat Pancake.

Where I live

Our home is a three-bedroom end terrace 1930s house in Witham, Essex. We moved here in 2014.

What I wanted to change

All the magnolia – it was everywhere! The house was very beige and brown. It had very little personality other than the cast iron fireplaces in the bedrooms. We wanted to add our stamp.

How I made it my own

Firstly, we painted nearly everywhere an off-white or light grey to make it feel light, airy and fresh. Then slowly we redecorated.

My favourite part

My accessories. I tend to use the objects we find from our travels.

You can find out more about Chloe and Paul's Medway's home by purchasing our August 2019 issue, available as a digital download here.
