Upcycling challenge: bench seat cover

Upcycling challenge: bench seat cover

Posted 31st July

Use the punch needling technique to create this stylish perch.

These tonal colours and modern geometric design give the traditional technique of punch needling a new, contemporary look. With a foam insert, this seat pad provides plenty of comfort and can be made to fit any size bench. The finished cushion shown here is 28cm x 96cm, but the pattern can be adjusted for any seat you already have by changing the number of repeats.

You can find the template here and the full tutorial on page 70 of our September 2019 issue, on sale now.
