Joanne and Tim Hardcastle have transformed a former run down student pad into a colourful and cosy family home that they love
A bit about me
I’m Joanne Hardcastle, a foster carer and I live with my husband Tim, our two daughters, and our lovely cats.
Where I live
We live in a four-bedroom Edwardian end-of-terrace house, in Batley, West Yorkshire.
What I wanted to change
We wanted to change everything! It was a student house and right at the top end of what we could afford.
How I made it my own
We’ve put our stamp on every room and you can see our eclectic, colourful taste everywhere. As we found our quirky, maximalist style over the years the house has truly come to life!
My favourite part
It has to be the lounge. It’s super-cosy and snug and I love settling down at the end of the day with the family to watch TV together.
