Yankee Candle is relaunching some old favourites...

Did you know 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of Yankee Candle?

It's a momentous milestone for the brand, which has provided us with amazing fragrances over the past 50 years.

During that time, many of us will have enjoyed the on-trend and true-to-life smells which have transformed our homes into truly special places.

The actual Yankee Candle story dates back to 1969, when Mike Kittredge had no money to buy his mother a Christmas present. To get around this, he created a candle by melting crayons, which a neighbour saw and convinced him to sell it to her. Thus, Yankee Candle was born.

To mark the brand's 50th anniversary, Yankee Candle is now relaunching a selection of their more popular fragrances from the previous half a century. Each one has been handpicked to remind us of nostalgic moments from the past, and is a sure way to provide candle lovers with a way to enjoy some previous classics.

Each of the 16 fragrances include fresh, floral fragrances, and are available for a limited time period. Different scents will be available each season, coming in unique anniversary packaging and retailing for £23.99.

The spring fragrances that can be purchased from YankeeCandle.co.uk and stores nationwide include:

Honeydew Melon (1980s)

Welcome some cool slices of vine-ripened, sun-kissed melon into your home.

Rainbow's End (2000s)

Bring some noughties charm into your interiors with this refreshing scent of clear, country air.

Orange Dreamsicle (2010s)

A blend of orange and vanilla ice cream reminds us of why we've never quite been able to outgrow that childhood favourite.

Salt Mist Rose (1990s)

Prepare to welcome the scent of roses by the sea - it's a winner!
