A simple understated Scandinavian look suits Mel and Greig Sinclair's new-build home, which they've gradually put their own stamp on

A bit about me

I’m Mel Sinclair, a hairdresser. I live with my husband Greig, a gas technician, and our two lovely children.

Where I live

Our home is a three-bedroom semi-detached house in, Fife, Scotland. We’ve lived here since it was built in 2011.

What I wanted to change

There was no flooring or window dressings and the bathroom was quite basic, but it was a blank canvas that we could gradually change over time.

How I made it my own

I like a neutral palette with splashes of accent colours so I’ve kept things pared down but with a few subtle bohemian touches.

My favourite part

It’s definitely the bathroom, as we’ve just recently revamped the room from scratch, so it really feels like it reflects our style.
