3 underrated ways to refresh your home this spring

Posted 11th April by Peter Byrne

With the spring clean underway, many of us will now be thinking of ways in which we can make sure our homes are refreshed and ready for the coming months

It's approaching that time of year where we look to bring that fresh feeling into our homes, which includes everything from brightening up our rooms to decluttering the space.

If you're in need of some inspiration to get this done, these tips from Spaceslide could be worth a try...

1. Light show!

If you want to welcome some sunshine into your home, make sure you're using your mirrors in the best way possible. If your space has a large mirror, it can be utilised to bounce light around the room to give the impression of a larger room, while also providing some welcome light.

It works well in a smaller space too - mirrors can brighten even the most cramped of bedrooms. If you don't have the wall space for mirrors, why not consider a wardrobe with mirrored doors?

2. Colour cloud

During the spring months, many of us will turn to soft, pastel colours. Working alongside natural textures and hard materials, pastels can be relied on to inject your home with some delicate shades. You can keep it simple with plump cushions or artwork, or alternatively, update the furniture to give your bedroom some gentle hints of tone.

3. Declutter

A great way of ensuring your interiors feel refreshed for the new season will be removing any clutter that has built up over the cold months. There's an incredibly handy and simple option to try for this, which is often overlooked - invest in quality storage! A customisable storage piece can be a great way of providing your home with a personal touch.
