Catherine Ridley has made her house in Hastings the open-plan living space she’s always wanted by knocking through her downstairs
A bit about me
I’m Catherine Ridley and I live with my husband and four children, as well as our two dogs.
Where I live
We live in a four-bedroom house in Hastings that was built in the 1880s. We have been here for 13 years.
What I wanted to change
When we bought the house, it had three bedrooms and we knew we had to turn it into a four-bedroomed property. I also wanted to give it lots of life.
How I made it my own
I personalised the house while stripping the whole inside to make it my own dream home by the sea.
My favourite part
My absolute favourite room would have to be our new open-plan kitchen area. We’ve cleverly combined it into one big family space and we love it.
