Etsy just made online shopping guilt-free...

We all love a nice shopping spree

Now, Etsy are giving us the chance to indulge in an online shopping spree which we can feel a bit less guilty about...

This is thanks to the online marketplace's pledge to offset 100 per cent of their carbon emissions that are generated by shipping, making it the first global e-commerce platform to do so - and it starts now.

It therefore means that when you shop on Etsy, you will be having a positive impact in fighting climate change.  Not only will you be helping to protect over 10 million trees, but you will also support wind and solar projects, both of which create clean energy.

Being eco-friendly is clearly something shoppers worry about - in fact, Etsy reported there are over 253,000 search results for 'eco-friendly' products. Another thing you can try doing is working alongside independent makers - they can share their process to help you make sure that both low carbon footprints and eco-friendly ingredients are part of the process.

Further proof that UK shoppers are concerned comes from research which revealed 68 per cent are looking for local, sustainable or ethically sourced options. In fact, 57 per cent revealed that basing their purchasing decisions on both sustainability and waste was more important in 2018 than ever before.

Online shopping which we don't need to feel guilty about? We're in!
