Bring style to your home without spending a fortune
1. Add colour with painted furniture – Sarah loves to upcycle, and she adds splashes of colour to every room with her upcycled pieces.
2. Gallery walls needn’t be expensive to create – Sarah sourced all her frames from budget stores including Poundland, B&M and Home Bargains. Mix and match in other decorative items as well, such as small mirrors and neon lights. Mirrors can be a really cost-effective way of adding light into rooms – Sarah bought an inexpensive large mirror from The Range to reflect light around her lounge.
3. If you can’t afford a new sofa or bed, then dress them up with colourful cushions and bedding from budget high street stores such as H&M, Matalan and Dunelm, you’ll be amazed by the difference it can make.
4. When it comes to flooring, choose lino over tiled or wooden flooring – it’s a cheaper, warmer and more hygienic option for a kitchen or bathroom.
