Renter Holly Grundy has created her ideal home with low-cost decor and clever handmade touches that make it fun and unique

A bit about me

I'm Holly Grundy and I live with my partner Paul, our two young sons and a ginger tomcat called Nutmeg.

Where I live

My home is a small 1930s three-bedroom house in Bridgham, Norfolk. We've rented here for about a year.

What I wanted to change

Everything! The house was really dated and hadn't been decorated in years. The carpets had to go first as they were dark green and grubby, and we painted every wall white.

How I made it my own

I updated the kitchen by revamping the cupboards and laying vinyl flooring. We painted the floorboards white in the bedroom.

My favourite part

Definitely the dining room. It's a very light space and has a calm feel. I also like our lounge with its open fire and the crumbling plaster effect I created.

You can find out more about Holly's home revamp by purchasing our Dec/Jan 2018 issue, available as a digital download for only £0.99 here.
