Lidl's new range brings the Mediterranean to your garden!

Okay, the temperature may be dipping slightly but it's still lovely - nothing beats clear blue skies!

As temperatures rise, the focus turns towards our outdoor areas. Now, Lidl has launched a range of plants and accessories that are ideal for transforming your outdoor area - and they majority are all priced at £10 or less - bargain!

Here are four different ways you can incorporate them...

Temperature trees

Why not give your garden a touch of the exotic? Those hot balmy days can almost make you feel like you're somewhere in the Mediterranean, so why not take that feeling to the next level by adding an olive tree to your garden? Only 1.6 ft tall, the evergreen trees with silver leaves love sunlight almost as much as we do, while also being partial to a dip in temperature, which helps them to produce fruit.

Or maybe you would like an instant aroma, in which case a citrus and fig tree could be ideal. Only £2.99, a citrus plant gives you fragrant flowers all year, as well as delicious fruit, while the fig trees produce fork-shaped foliage and delicious fruit of their own.

Patio praising

Pelargonium Grandiflorum brings a bright and beautiful look to your patio for only £2.59. Blooming early, they're ideal for containers and borders alike - the serrated edges on the leaves create an instantly pretty look, which is then offset by striking red, white and assorted two-colour flowers.

Captivating climbers

If you've ever holidayed in the Mediterranean, you'll recognise the sea of colour provided by the Bouganivillea as it cascades over the walls. The classic climbers are available for only £5.79 or two for £10, including a trellis that support its as it grows. You have a choice for how you use it – you can either plant it to climb a wall or fence, or alternatively, it can complement other plants in a hanging basket too.

Brilliant borders

The Hosta plant is easy to care for and produces lush foliage with overlapping leaves. Only £3.99, it comes in a variety of colours which range from dark to nearly blue, to creamy white and is also brought inside the house. It even produces white or lavender bell-shaped fragrant flowers in summer.

Finishing touches

You can complete the relaxing Mediterranean garden look by using wicker style furnishings to complement your own living garden. The Florabest Wicker Plant comes in a Small Square size for only £7.99 (H28 x W28 x D28cm), or a Tall Square of Conical size for £14.99 (H64 x W31 x D31cm). Coming with floor friendly feet and accompanied with a handy removable plant, it can be inserted with optional water drainage.

The range is available instore now, while stocks last.
