Four ways to create the perfect home office

Four ways to create the perfect home office

Working from home will seem a breeze with these top tips!

1. A good starting place will be finding where the best position for your desk will be. Make the most of a pretty view by placing your desk under the window and don't let yourself be limited by plug sockets - these can always be moved.

2. If you're struggling to find the perfect size desk, why not make your own bespoke design? You can do this with a piece of kitchen worktop cut to size to fit along one wall. You can then put filing cabinets or shelving beneath. This will be a particularly good option for a box room.

3. While a beautifully curated open shelf may look great, office equipment typically isn't so pretty, meaning hidden storage will be essential - and ideally, lots of it! An alternative would be to stock up on some stylish desk files which could then coordinate with your chosen desk scheme.

4. Not everyone will have the necessary space to have a dedicated office - if that applies to you, why not utilise the space under the stairs or use a roomy landing? You could even create a mezzanine platform if your ceilings are high enough.
