Get ready for your kitchen to embrace the Moroccan look!

In their recently released Kitchens Trend Report for 2018, B&Q and Pinterest have identified exactly what British consumers are looking for in their kitchen-based home improvement projects.

Kitchens are set to embrace the warmer climates this year, with traditional Moroccan patterns and intricate designs ensuring kitchen centrepieces will seriously stand out.

Warmer climates will be inspiring our schemes this year, with the traditional Moroccan patterns and intricate designs providing new kitchen centrepieces serious stand out. Pinterest data found there has been a 128 per cent rise in searches and saves for Morocco-led decor, with items such as 'Moroccan tiles' (+71 per cent) and 'Moroccan splashbacks' (+66 per cent) all proving to be rich sources of inspiration.

Mike Lavers, Market Manager for Kitchens at B&Q said: "Designs from international climates will inspire vibrant colour palettes in 2018. Striking mosaic wallpaper and feature floor tiles will be hugely popular, along with other light Moroccan touches such as chunky wooden worktops, gold lanterns and pendant lighting."
