Embracing the natural look

The natural look is set to be one of the most popular kitchen trends this year

In their recently released Kitchens Trend Report for 2018, B&Q and Pinterest have identified exactly what British consumers are looking for in their kitchen-based home improvement projects.

Homeowners are now concerned with more than just the colour when it comes to their kitchen design and décor. There are a growing number of consumers who are considering the environmental impact of their purchasing decisions too, with consumers standing up for sustainability too. This has resulted in searches and saves for 'eco kitchens' rising by 164 per cent, while 'Plywood' rose by 139 per cent.

Brits also want to get back to nature and achieve the 'eco look' in their homes. Subsequently, searches and saves for 'organic materials' have increased by 139 per cent, with consumers considering natural materials for work surfaces and cupboards - and walnut worktops, concrete tiles and bamboo lighting all proving popular too.
