'Personal pieces gives my home its identity'

Boho touches and a smattering of sparkle helped Cheryl Broad transform a featureless new-build into a glamorous, characterful home

A bit about me

I’m Cheryl Broad. I live with my partner, Ade, and my 21-yearold daughter, Daisy.

Where I live

My home is a five-bed semi in a village near Lichfield, Staffordshire. It was built in 2006 and we’re the first people to live here.

What I wanted to change

The kitchen felt dark and enclosed and the utility room jutted into the dining area, blocking the view of the garden.

How I made it my own

I changed the layout to make the ground floor brighter and more open. I’ve redecorated with soft pinks and neutrals, and lots of pretty accessories.

My favourite part

The family room – we spend most of our time there because it gets so much natural light and I love being able to look out at my garden too.

You can find out more about how Cherly gave her home its identity by purchasing our May issue, available as a digital download for only £0.99 here.
